Lois Duncan Biography: Born on April 28, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lois Duncan is the author of 48 books, which vary from childrens picture books to adult novels. She was raised in Sarasota, Florida, with her littleer brother, by her parents, Joseph and Lois Steinmetz. Her parents, at the time, were known internationally as prevalent photographers for times. In 1962, Duncan attended Duke University but dropped out a socio-economic class ulterior because she found this education difficult compared to her childishness writing. She later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico and in 1965, married her second husband, get into Arquette. They have five children together. Since Lois was a youngish girl, she knew she was to sprain a writer.
